How swiftly the seasons change, guiding us from the vibrant hues of autumn into the crisp, refreshing days of winter—a time that invites reflection, renewal, and anticipation for the year ahead. As the air turns cool and the landscape transforms, I find myself grateful for the blessings of the past year and excited for the opportunities that 2026 will bring. This season holds special meaning as I celebrate my 33rd year as a State Farm Agent. Since beginning my journey in 1994 in Escanaba, MI, and relocating to Petoskey in 1995—where I was fortunate to meet my wonderful wife, Phyllis—our family has grown and thrived alongside the changing seasons.

Phyllis, a dedicated real estate agent originally from Indian River, has shared with me the breathtaking beauty of our area, from Burt Lake to Crooked River, made even more striking beneath a blanket of winter snow. Together, we are grateful for our five children and nine grandchildren, whose laughter and love fill our home with warmth and joy.

During this time, we cherish traditions like gathering with family, sharing meals, and enjoying the cozy comforts of home. Even as winter settles in, we stay active with indoor pickleball at North Central Michigan College and look forward to peaceful moments on the inland waterway, now quiet beneath a layer of snow.
